Johnson County Fire District No. 2 "Serving Johnson and Miami County, Ks"

ISO PPC Class 3

Effective July 1st of 2009 Johnson County Fire District #2 became an ISO PPC Class 3 for all Johnson County areas served by the Fire District.

The ISO PPC Class is essentially a grade card for the overall performance of the Fire District.

The Fire District recently completed a two year review process by the ISO. This process included a review of all aspects of the Fire District.

Including Water Delivery Systems, Equipment, training, Maps, and Record Keeping.

 

Achieving the PPC 3 rating allows the Fire District to offer the same fire protection class as most cities in Johnson County,

including Olathe and Overland Park.

 

There are only forty PPC 3 departments out of over 600 Fire Departments in the State of Kansas. 

There are only1,878 PPC3 Departments out of over 40,000 Fire Departments in the United States.

 

The ISO classifications help establish appropriate fire insurance premiums for residential and commercial properties. 

Insurance companies use reliable and up-to-date information about a community's fire protection services to determine insurance premiums. 

The Fire District encourages our patrons to contact their insurance agent or company to assure they receive full benefit of our ISO Class 3 rating.
