Welcome to Johnson County Fire District No. 2 Explorer Post 2800’s Webpage. We are glad that you are interested in Post 2800.
The Post is a partnership with Boy Scouts of America and Fire District No. 2. The program is for young men and women ages 14 to 20 years of age that are interested in a career in the Fire/ EMS service. Fire District No. 2 has a policy of no youth left out. We do our best to make sure that every explorer understands what they are learning.
We also take pride in helping youth to be come leaders through leadership/ officer positions within the post. We believe strongly in building good leaders.

The Post was formed in December 2003 to get the youth of the community more involved with Johnson County Fire District No. 2. Our Post will focus on Fire Science, Emergency Medical Services, and Leadership. Explorers will learn first hand knowledge about the fire service career.
Explorers will receive hands on training from JCFD2 personnel and will become first aid and CPR certified. Members will also receive community service hours through the department and community events.
We have meetings on the first and third Monday of each month. Anyone who is interested is more than welcome to attend. If you would like to come see what the explorer post is all about e-mail the post 2800 and we will let you know where the next meeting is at.
